AETHER by Philippe Ceulemans

FOR DESIGN PROFESSIONALS

A moving-art resource built for specification.

AETHER gives architects and interior designers a curated source of hand-coded moving artworks for screens already embedded in the spatial concept.

AETHER / ARCHITECTURAL CONTEXT

Design teams increasingly specify large displays as part of hospitality, workplace, residential and mixed-use interiors. The hardware is often resolved early, while the visual content is left until the end of the project. AETHER is designed to bring the artwork decision forward. Works can be selected by atmosphere, colour, movement, scale and ratio so the screen becomes part of the material and visual strategy of the room.

Curated rather than catalogued as stock

AETHER is not a library of interchangeable video backgrounds. Every work has an individual title, duration, visual system and curatorial context. The collection can therefore be presented to clients as artwork with authorship rather than as generic content. The work is created by Philippe Ceulemans through hand-coded visual systems and no generative AI is used in the artwork creation.

Useful information for the specification process

Artwork pages provide duration, resolution, available formats and licensing information. For shortlisted works, project details can be reviewed against screen ratio, display size, location count and intended use. This makes it easier to move from visual selection to a practical display licence without treating the artwork as an afterthought.

Support for projects with multiple spaces

Large projects may require different works across a lobby, lounge, restaurant, boardroom or residential amenity area. AETHER can help develop a coherent selection while preserving enough variation between zones. Multi-display and multi-location licensing can be discussed at project level, as can exclusivity where the design brief requires it.
